In Zagreb, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the PaKing FORUM 2026 was held — a professional conference dedicated to the future of packaging that brought together more than 100 participants from the industry. Among the participants was Grafing Printing House, and our colleague Galja Milošević actively took part in the panel discussion.

At the panel “Glass, Cardboard and Plastic – Where Are the Limits of Materials in the Future?”, Galja Milošević, Head of Quality Assurance at Grafing, took part in a discussion on the key challenges facing the industry — from the selection of materials to their recyclability and environmental impact.

Through concrete examples, it was highlighted that there is no universal solution for packaging. The optimal choice always depends on the type of product, logistical requirements, and sustainability goals. Particular emphasis was placed on an efficient waste management system and the realistic possibilities for recycling specific materials.

One of the central topics of the forum was the new EU Regulation on Packaging and Packaging Waste (PPWR) and its impact on packaging design, production, and recycling. The focus was placed on obligations related to recyclability, the reduction of packaging waste, and increasing the share of recycled materials.

These changes directly affect packaging manufacturers, as well as their partners and clients. For Grafing, as a packaging manufacturer, this means further aligning products with regulatory requirements while maintaining a high level of quality and functionality.

By participating in professional events such as this, we ensure continuous monitoring of trends and timely adaptation to changes in the packaging industry. In doing so, we provide our clients and partners with additional security and reliability in their business operations.

The solutions we develop are focused on: compliance with current and upcoming regulations, functionality and adaptation to specific products, and sustainability in line with the principles of the circular economy.
